Forsyth County – According to the Natural Resources Division of Georgia, a 24-year-old man died on Wednesday after being electrocuted in the Lanier Beach South Road area near Lanier Lake.
Authorities report that the individual was shocked by an electrical current in the water. A person nearby saw what happened and quickly pulled him out of the river. Sadly, he was declared dead not long after arriving at Northside Forsyth Hospital after being sent there in a critical condition.
Thomas Milner has been recognised as the dead by deputies from Forsyth County. They say Milner entered the water from his dock and shortly after sought help when he felt a shock.
He was unsuccessfully pulled from the sea by a family friend. Witnesses then saw Thomas being brought to the shore by a boat, and another person performed CPR in an effort to revive him. The individual described a tingling sensation caused by the electric shock he experienced. He made it to the beach, cut the power, and dove back in to save Thomas.
After pulling Thomas back to the shore, his uncle administered CPR until first responders arrived.
